Cairns
Cairns
Cairns is the tropical paradise of Australia and the most northerly city in the State of Queensland. Situated between the Great Barrier Reef and the mountains of the Atherton Highlands with its 100'000 inhabitants, it provides a good home base allowing you to explore the surrounding area. The tropical vegetation, the numerous beaches and the varied landscape make Cairns an extraordinary city. It is an eldorado for scubadiving and snorkelling with the Great Barrier Reef at your feet. Cairns is an ideal starting point for excursions, and has therefore become very popular with the tourists. It has managed to preserve the charm of a small city and the people are very friendly.
